  • Woven at just the right tension to enable longitudinal flexibility and horizontal “grip” factor to facilitate the horse’s lung expansion without too much restrictive pressure.
  • Grips strong enough without restrictive tension so that rider does not need to over-tighten in order to feel that saddle is secure.
  • Broad, flat solid cast silver or brass buckle has expansive surface-area connection with Horse’s body while feeling comfortable and secure without being bulky to rider or horse.
  • 27 strand weave overlaps in such a way as to eliminate space between the strands that would pinch skin and facilitate girth galls.
  • Extremely durable and will last for years

Description

Our CINCHES are custom handmade to our specifications, with 100% Natural ANGORA GOAT MOHAIR.

It is easy to keep your cinch clean. Always check for debris that could damage your horse’s skin.

How to care for your MOHAIR CINCH:

Use a stiff brush occasionally to rid the fibers of noticeable dirt. If your cinch is very dirty, gently wash the grime and salt out by holding both rings with the underside of the cinch facing out, dip cinch in a bucket of lukewarm water and mild soap. Don’t worry about getting all of the horsehair out. The horses’ hair fills up the cracks in the cinch cords, and felts with the mohair to make the cinch even more comfortable for the horse. Rinse thoroughly and lay flat to dry (don´t hang to dry!)

Moths are attracted to and can damage Mohair. Store indoors or protect from moths whenever possible.
