Lovely soft but durable leather, nylon lined for extreme strength, flat stainless buckle for less bulk. Our 2-position stirrup bar allows you to hang your stirrups from the forward positon (with the “gate” on the stirrup bar laid flat down) if you plan to do a significant amount of jumping….or, from the rear position (with the gate up, so that the leathers don’t slide forward) for flat work.
Our single strand leathers (originally for our Dressage saddle) are beneficial in that they reduce the bulk under the leg as much as possible. We’re thrilled with them, and many customers have found them useful for our other English saddles, too. They are of excellent quality and durability, with lovely, soft-but-tough leather stitched over exceptionally strong nylon lining. The nylon loop at the top is extremely strong and reinforced for safety. The little leather “hoods” for the buckles slide down to be tight on them if you want the buckles covered, but they can also be removed if that is what you prefer.
